Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in pdf format.
    The autors should use the template IEEE (Manuscript Templates for Conference Proceedings).
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

GENERAL INFORMATION
Its periodicity is biennial (semiannual). The first number is from January to June. The second number, from July to December.

The article must be regulated by the Publications Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), sixth edition in English or third in Spanish.
External peer reviewers.
Peer Reviewers are Specialists in the Subject Area, with extensive and recognized experience in research and publications in scientific journals
The review process will take the following stages:
The content of the document will be subjected to a similarity check through comparison systems (turnitin) of which a maximum of 30% is expected.
Only documents verified in the previous stage will be considered for peer review, and peer reviewers will be sent between one or more according to availability and the corresponding topic.

The results of the evaluation can be:
to accept.
b) Accept with conditions: that is, it will only be accepted when the author makes the adjustments set forth in the recommendations indicated by the reviewer (s).
c) Reject.


Plagiarism detection policy. To rule out plagiarism the journal uses the Turnitin.


Letter of originality and transfer of copyright.


Once an article is accepted for publication, the corresponding author must fill out and sign the document entitled "Letter of originality and transfer of copyright."


Publishable Articles
All those that have been accepted without conditions
All those that have been conditionally accepted and that have corrected the observations indicated by the reviewers.
For a main author, only one article can be published per issue of the journal. If they have obtained several accepted articles, they will be able to choose an article as the main author and reorganize the authors in the other articles.
The maximum number of authors will be up to 6.

GUIDELINES FOR PRESENTING THE PAPER
Format
Stick to the template format without modifications in: fonts, font sizes, indentations, numbering, list and other aspects already present in the template.
Proper wording. The text must respect the writing, spelling and grammar requirements of the Spanish language. If the author (s) have limitations in this regard, it is recommended to consult with a specialist in scientific writing, before submitting the article to arbitration.
Verbal tense. It is recommended for studies of a quantitative and mixed nature to write in impersonal with "se". In qualitative studies, the first person plural "we" can be used; in this second case whoever writes will determine it.
Use of non-discriminatory language. Respect and comply with the rules of non-discriminatory language, both verbal and graphic (gender, age, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual preference, political creed, religion, disabilities ...).


ARTICLE STRUCTURE
Scientific Articles must have the following minimum structure:
Title in Spanish and English; Name and Surname of the author or authors with their institutional affiliation and institutional email; Summary and keywords maximum six; Abstract and keywords; Introduction; Materials and methods; Results and Discussion; Conclusions; Acknowledgments (if required); and, Bibliographic references.

Every table should be within the text as closely as possible to the place where it is cited. Tables should not duplicate results presented elsewhere in the manuscript. All figures (graphs, diagrams, photographs, etc.) must be numbered and have been cited in the text.
The body of work may vary depending on the area, line or type of investigation.


REVIEW PROCESS
All articles will be subject to “double blind review” evaluated by external peers.
Both authors and reviewers are governed by the Code of Conduct and Research Ethics.
Submitted articles should not be published or under review in any other national or international conference or publication. Authors must adhere to the Code of Conduct and Research Ethics.


PUBLICATION
Accepted articles will be published in the Journal of Research in Science, Technology and Society (CTS-UNAJMA) in its corresponding edition and volume and published online in its electronic version.

CONTENT ASPECTS
Main types of writing
1. Scientific research article
It is derived from research, social action or teaching experience and accounts for part of it. It refers to the achievements and their possible scientific applications. It sets out the objectives, the method used and the results of the part chosen to share in the magazine. It must express its own purposes and show independence from the research that supports it; that is, it has to manifest semantic self-sufficiency.

The Journal also accepts research articles in IMRyD format.


2. Essay
It is the type of expository text that defends a thesis or opposes two theses about the specific object of study it deals with. It is a very reflective discourse in which the emphasis is placed on the analysis of current studies and on the ideas raised up to that moment, with the aim of transcending its scope and putting its relevance in discussion.
It is a mature text, in which the fundamental is constituted by the discussion of ideas.

State the objective of the discussion.
It briefly exposes the conceptual approach with which it will approach the discussion.
It incorporates the necessary information to guide the reader in quickly identifying the basic content of the writing and in determining its relevance.
Introduction (includes the approach to the subject, the objectives and conceptual approach from which the subject will be addressed).
Development (argumentation of ideas), with the subtitles that are deemed appropriate or necessary.
Discussion (When appropriate).
References (reference only what is cited in the text; maximum 30)


3. Bibliographic review article
It proposes a bibliographic review of a certain field of study related to the theme that the journal addresses. You can review the most relevant speakers, their main ideas and their contributions. You can make analysis and comments based on objective and supported statements. The chapter of the investigation relating to the state of the question, with certain adaptations, can become an article of this nature.

It exposes the theme it addresses and its significance.
It specifies the periods or stages of the bibliographic information object of the analysis.
It presents the main criteria for analyzing the bibliographic information processed.
Presents the main findings, conclusions.
Present the main applications, implications or recommendations.
It incorporates the necessary information that guides the reader to identify the basic content of the writing quickly and to determine its relevance. It is semantically self-sufficient.
Introduction (raises the objective or problem that motivated the review and the criteria for organizing the discourse).
Development: specifies the bibliographic analysis
Conclusions or discussions and pending. (pp. 4-9)
